1963: THE AWAKENING
On a warm February evening, John Button watched the most precious girl in the world walk out on him forever. Her life, taken on a dark lonely road. Her body sent flying by the stolen car that was deliberately aimed at her, it tossed her like a rag doll into the air and then slammed her into the ground three hundred feet away.
Before the night was out, John had been charged with willful murder, and would face the gallows if he could not convince the jury of his innocence.
